For players and families

Privacy without the mystery.

Classic Games uses an adult-owned household account so a family can save games without creating separate identities for individual household members. We still treat the persistent profile and its saved progress as private information.

No child accountsNo child profile, date of birth, exact age, email, real name, school, address, social-media account, Face ID, fingerprint, or device PIN. No advertising trackersNo behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking, analytics SDK, or sale of player information. No public rankingsNo public leaderboards, profiles, handles, scores, chat, messaging, or social features.

What we store

  • An adult-chosen household handle and internal account number.
  • Passkey credential ID and public key, never the private key.
  • A one-way hash of the recovery code.
  • Private server-side Asteroids progress and Stormhatch dragon state.
  • Private Movie Studio titles, stories, screenplays, settings, and captured photos chosen or taken on the iPad.
  • Parking Escape, Trailwhisker Valley, and SIGNORIA progress stored only in that browser.
  • An essential login-session cookie lasting up to 30 days.

Why we use it

  • To sign the correct player into the correct saved games.
  • To remember progress and let a companion grow over time.
  • To protect accounts, verify game runs, prevent abuse, and keep the service working.
  • We do not use game activity for advertising, behavioural profiling, or public rankings.

Adult-owned household use

An adult creates and controls the account and may allow supervised household play. Classic Games does not create a separate child profile or try to identify which household member performed a game action. Anyone who knows a shared device's PIN may be able to use a passkey stored on that device.

Retention

The account, Asteroids progress, dragon state, and Movie Studio projects remain until the adult owner deletes the profile or deletes an individual movie. Dragon memories are limited to the latest 100 and removed after 90 days. Completed Asteroids run records are removed after 90 days and abandoned runs after two days. Browser-local saves remain until local site data is cleared. Hosting logs and backup retention remain subject to the hosting provider's documented policy.

Sharing and public data

We do not sell player data and do not publish household handles, scores, progress, dragon details, stories, or movie photos. The hosting provider processes technical requests needed to deliver and secure the site. No game or creative tool includes public sharing or a public leaderboard.

Your choices

The adult account owner can download a JSON copy of server-side information or permanently delete the live account, passkeys, recovery hash, server-side progress, game runs, dragon, memories, movie projects, and movie photos. An individual movie and its photos can also be deleted inside Movie Studio. The account page clears Parking Escape, Trailwhisker Valley, and SIGNORIA saves from the current browser.

What each Classic Games title saves

Asteroids

The server privately stores the latest and highest reached level, personal best score, and short-lived run-verification records containing a random run token, score, level, and timestamps. Nothing is published. Completed run records are retained for 90 days; abandoned runs for two days.

Parking Escape

Unlocked levels, completed levels, and best move counts are stored in this browser's local storage. The game does not send that puzzle progress to the Classic Games database. People using the same browser may see the same local progress.

Trailwhisker Valley

Campaign progress, virtual coins, inventory, purchases, map pieces, regions, and quest completion are stored in this browser's local storage. The game does not send that adventure progress to the Classic Games database. People using the same browser may see the same local progress.

SIGNORIA

The Florence scenario stores its season, resources, guild favour and tax assessments, city conditions, political relationships, issued orders, governing style, chronicle, and scenario result in this browser's local storage. The game does not send that strategy progress to the Classic Games database. People using the same browser may see the same local progress.

Stormhatch

The server privately stores the dragon's chosen name and clan, visual seed, life stage, needs, strengths, care streak, birth and care timestamps, plus up to 100 recent chronicle events. Events older than 90 days are removed. There is no social-media connection or public dragon profile.

Movie Studio

Movie Studio can use the live iPad camera or open the iPad Photos picker after the player taps the matching button. It does not request unrestricted access to the whole photo library. Selected pictures are decoded on the iPad, centre-cropped, resized to a 1280 × 720 JPEG frame, and uploaded to private server storage for the signed-in household movie. Background Lock compares small, low-resolution copies on the iPad to correct modest camera movement. When it applies a correction, the prepared original and aligned frame are both kept privately so the original is not lost. Steady Capture and the optional preview blend also run on the iPad. The server stores the movie title, written or mock-transcribed story, screenplay, scene order, alignment details, and photo timing. Story recordings stay temporarily in the browser and are not uploaded in this version. The default screenplay helper is local mock logic: it sends no story, recording, or photo to an AI or LLM provider. There is no public sharing, advertising, or social profile.

Separate products

Wall Street Game and the Business Tycoon games are not part of the Classic Games catalogue or this game-specific notice. They use separate URLs and require their own privacy assessments and notices.

Operator and contact

Public-launch item still required: the operator must publish its controller/operator name and a working privacy-contact email before actively promoting the service. Signed-in access, export, local-progress clearing, and deletion controls remain available without them.
